What to Look For in a Farm Sitter in St.George, Utah

Many pet sitters that you’ll find in the area are often friends, family, neighbors, or people from Rover. Not only are they in charge of caring for your animals, but they’re also in charge of keeping an eye on things at the farm, including your home. Friends and family are eager to help you out but are they the most qualified sitters for your animals? Probably not.

That’s where hiring a professional farm sitter comes in. A good farm sitter should have plenty of experience caring for different types of animals, know how to handle them, and be able to stay on top of things while you’re away. Important stuff like feeding schedules, checking water levels, rotating hay or straw bales, administering medications, and more, are vital to get right.

When looking for a farm sitter, you’ll want to find someone experienced and has the proper qualifications – like being licensed, bonded, and insured. And if they’re animal lovers, that’s even better!

Sara’s Happy Paws Pet Sitting ticks all of those boxes and more. We love animals of all kinds, so we’re confident we can provide the best possible care for your equines and farm animals while you’re away.

About Sara’s Happy Paws

Sara’s Happy Paws Pet Sitting was started as a high school service project, where I donated all proceeds to local animal shelters. As soon as I graduated from High School, Sara’s Happy Paws took off.

At the time, I still felt the need to go to college and get a degree in something. So off I went to college. After only a few months, I realized I did NOT enjoy college. I felt like I wasn’t getting the most out of my time because I didn’t have a specific degree or career I wanted to pursue.

It wasn’t long before I realized: “I already know what I want to do, I want to work with animals!” and I decided that college wasn’t right for me and decided to pursue my business. Since then, Sara’s Happy Paws has grown, and I’ve hired three outstanding employees!
